It was a wonderful first visit to Costa Rica. Truly breathtaking! We couldn’t believe the stunning view when we first arrived at VILLA ESTRELLA. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! LL staff were a pleasure-always with smiles! We particularly enjoyed the Salsa lessons…us Canadians certainly needed a few reminders! A truly unforgettable week with great times galore---from surfing, sailing, hanging out at Father Roosters and playa penca. |

 Thank you VILLA ESTRELLA! Once again, I am in awe of God’s beautiful earth and his wonderful people. Costa Rica is magnificent along with its beautiful and proud people. My husband and I have enjoyed the week beyond measure. We have made many memories to take home and share with our family and friends. We can’t thank each of the staff enough for wining and dining us, driving us, laughing with us, dancing with us, and always being close by “like family”. We will miss you and talk of you often. And, don’t be surprised if this crew shows up again soon! Also, you are all welcome to come visit us in the great stare of Louisiana! Go Tigers! |

We have found our “slice of heaven” here at VILLA ESTRELLA. It has been a vacation like no other. You have the most wonderful staff one could want. From zip lining to catching sailfish and salsa dancing and chillin in the pool, and cooking for the staff---fun, fun, fun. The house and the view are spectacular. Many memories for a lifetime.  What words can I use to describe how spectacular this week has been? VILLA ESTRELLA was perfect, from its setting in a little patch of paradise to its amenities and the staff!! They catered to our every whim and need, tended those who were under the weather and kept us extremely well fed! And always with a smile and a Pura Vida! We golfed, surfed, sailed, paddle-boarded, zip-lined, tubed, and lazed in the sun. The week we spent here could not have been more perfect. There were 11 people in our group, long time friends celebrating our 40th birthdays together. We hope to be back! |

What an amazing week! I was so happy to be able to stay in such an amazingly beautiful place! The view was absolutely gorgeous, and the pool was so nice. We were so well fed every day. Amazing meals! It was awesome to try typical Costa Rica meals. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Thanks to all the staff. Thanks for the awesome day out snorkeling. The mangrove was spectacular. Thanks for the Spanish lessons in the car, the margaritas in the pool, and so much more. This vacation has been unforgettable. We glad to go home with so many great recipes and great memories! We are going to miss Costa Rica so much. |

 My husband & I traveled with 4 other couples. VILLA ESTRELLA with its large staff was more than we expected. The villa was elegant, spacious and fully equipped with 5 star amenities. The regional food was freshly prepared to our needs and elegantly presented. We could eat and drink all day if we wanted to! All food, beverages, liquor and transportation to/from the airport included in daily pp rate. We've traveled to many places around the world - one of our favorite places. We would go back. An outstanding destination with impeccable service. |

Food was wonderful. We've never had such fresh food. I wanted to bring the chef home with me. Staff and local people were extraordinary. Scenery was great. All the side adventures were exceptional, also. The last night was my birthday and the staff did a party outside in the lower pavilion. The staff did a flambé coffee service that was remarkable. Looked like blue flame pouring into the cups with sparklers going off. Plus, it was a full moon. Who could have asked for more? All in all you have our highest recommendation. I can't think of enough superlatives to explain our wonder. |

We have a group of friends that go on vacation every few years, and this was by far the best experience! We had 3 couples and 2 singles (no kids) and we are ages 30-50. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff is. They gave us everything we needed. They coordinated all of our many activities and usually went with us to "streamline" the experience (it was nice to have them to communicate with the tour operators). We always received cool towels and the best Costa Rican lemonade every time we came home from an activity. The chefs were excellent and prepared the best food that was so fresh, and we ate every meal overlooking the beautiful ocean. VILLA ESTRELLA is stunning and the rooms are so comfortable. If you had kids, the 8 person bunk room would be perfect.
 We had excellent spa treatments at the villa and were pampered in general all week by the staff. We were both able to relax with no worries and do fun activities easily because of the hard work of "X" and the staff. All the tours (snorkeling/beach hopping, ATVs, scuba diving, river tour, horseback riding/zip-lines/river tubing) were well organized, safe, and fun. If you go to VILLA ESTRELLA, it is really worth it to get the van. It's extra, but given the terrain of the area, it is a must if you plan on going anywhere! It will be really hard to stay at a resort again after staying in this private paradise. If you are wondering if it really IS that much better than a 5 star resort..it totally is! Had a magical time. So beautiful. |

I almost don't want to rate VILLA ESTRELLA too highly, 'cause I want to go back and I don't want it booked solid.... I just got back from a 5 night stay there, and I didn't want to come back. The service is better than the Ritz Carlton, and the views are second to none. Complaints: Umm, they fed me too much? They could have had a zip line to the beach instead of the full-time private van to take us there? |

I want to thank you so much for the experience we had in Costa Rica...it was an amazing trip! Everyone had the time of their life and regretted having to leave such a wonderful paradise.
VILLA ESTRELLA was everything you said it was, everything I had hoped for...and more. You have done an amazing job with all aspects of the experience. The villa itself is stunning. Every time I walked through the front door my jaw dropped; the view of the ocean over the infinity pool is simply breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice.
There is so much about VILLA ESTRELLA that I appreciated, but two other features stood out for me: how beautiful and comfortable the bedrooms are, and how well located and furnished the various gathering spots are. Our group especially loved socializing in the living room/pool seating area and the upstairs balcony.
There were many other things that made the trip so successful as well. Perhaps the most important was the quality of the people looking after us. To say “ X” and “Y” are superb is an understatement...they are fantastic. Their involvement in our stay was priceless. “X” is fascinating, “Y” is awesome, and both are delightful and fun to be with. In fact, “Y” was key to several of our adventures. “Y’s” judgment in reading our group and providing unforgettable experiences was spot on. I don't want to neglect to mention the other members of the staff either. Every one of them was so friendly and helpful that it felt like home (only better!). They have special places in our hearts.
Needless to say, the trip made a huge impression on everyone and will be remembered, and talked about, forever. Thank you! |
